Hi, I’m Stephen — a software developer from Dublin, Ireland. As much as I enjoy building things for the web, I love being off it just as much.


If I’m not developing, you’ll probably find me playing some sport, enjoying the outdoors, or on a mission to find the best pint of Guinness.

I have spent most of my career working in the security industry, in both the access control and intrusion industries. I'm a software engineer, with experience mainly in .NET development but have worked in many other areas. Continuous learning and never calling yourself an expert is how I operate.

My love of travel

There isn't a better feeling than jumping on a plane and going to a location you've never been before. Exploring different cultures and finding local experiences, meeting new people, taking time to unwind, what's not to love?

With that being said, I love and adore my country. Ireland has some of the most beautiful natural resources in the world, and even though I love to travel, I also love to be home, and I love to explore it. The picture is me in August 2025, I completed some bucket list stuff and climbed Irelands highest peak, Carrauntoohil

Football

I grew up a Manchester United fan. I've been a United fan for as long as I can remember. Growing up, it was just part of the fabric of my house. My dad was a die-hard Red, and that passion was passed down to me. My mam, became a fan by proxy, always supporting the team when the match was on. United was never just a club; it was a way of life in our house, it brought some core childhood memories, and some very good ones too. It's more than just football; it’s part of who I am.

Aside from watching Manchester United, I am an avid sports fan. If I'm not watching sport, I'm playing it. I've been playing football most of my life, if not for my team, then it was on the street or a local 5-a-side. I've also played GAA, and play in a social tag rugby team. Tennis, MMA, Badminton, Bowling, I've tried my hand in it all, and loved it.

Music

Dive into some of the music I have on repeat at the moment. My music taste is all over the place, so when I hit shuffle, I never know what genre will pop up next. It keeps things interesting!
